    Stinky Laundry Help

    Advertisements
Normally I can get the smell out of DH's uniforms but he just got back from a month out and about and came back extra ripe. I washed a load twice, opened the dryer and it was like .

I wash on cold with borax, detergent, and fabric softener. I am at a loss of what else to do. Would it be extreme to soak them in the machine with vinegar and water? Any other ideas?

I know I wash poopy clothes with vinegar.
It really gets the nasty poop smell out.

I get pit stains out by soaking in white vinegar/water for several hours (I put a cup of vinegar in the machine.) It's worth a try.

Use ammonia. It's laundry safe. it will smell when you pour it in but the clothes will come out fresh!

My husband accidentally put some in the wash instead of bleach and I freaked out thinking it would ruin the clothes. Turns out it is a normal thing to use it to de-stink clothes, lol.

I too use vinegar but in warm water, not cold. When I use cold water, it never gets the stink out of DH's work clothes. Warm does.

Would vinegar still work in a front load washer? That's what I have

Yes. And vinegar is a natural residue remover, disinfectant & fabric softener.
