Get your house sprayed. That's really the only long term solution.

Other than that, you can use raid. And chili powder along their trail will keep them away also.

I don't know if I have chili powder but I have cayenne pepper? I don't know exactly where they're coming from but I saw some go under the baseboard.

I actually pinned a blog from pinterest that said placing corn meal at the spot where you notice most of them will kill them and be pet friendly kid friendly plus its not poison like some sprays are. They pick up the corn meal... take it back to their little home for all their ant friends to eat.... they all eat it... cant digest it and die.

I have the same problem, it's so freakin' annoying

The only thing that fixed the problem (I tried that pepper thing too) for awhile was when I sprayed Raid outside of our house on all the windows, doors, and anything that looked like they might enter through.

    That'll work too

If you don't know exactly where they're coming from then I'd sprinkle some where you've seen them at least.

What do they look like, what room are they in?
Most ants in the house are the small black variety and tend to be in areas where there is water (bathroom and/or kitchen). Watching them can help you to find their entry point as they are habitual and will follow their "trail" back and forth. Identifying the entry point can help you prevent further intrusions.
Now, for the ants you have at the moment. Using baits that will be carried "home" is the best bet as it kills not just the ants you see, but the many, many more than you don't. I like Terro liquid baits and, from what I have seen, so do ants! d It is insane how you can go from seeing a few ants to seeing an ant super-highway within hours of putting out one of their bait stations. Give it a few days for the bait to be carried home, see the falling off of the traffic and then set about sealing their entry point. It is also helpful to treat inside AND outside of your home (when possible).
Contrary to popular belief, most infestations are not so much about food as it is about seeking water, which is why they are so commonly seen in the kitchen and bathroom....but eliminating the access to foods and maintaining clean surfaces will helpl

I had really bad ants when we first moved in, I pretty much have it under control now. I found where they were coming from and sprayed raid alllllll the fuck over there. Then they found new places, so I sprayed more. I barely ever see ants now, and we had them BAD. Like there was a constant stream of ants somewhere, literally. Especially at night.
