    Shirt bumps from hangers??

    Advertisements
I have plastic hangers..the typical kind that you would find at target or walmart and they always leave bumps on my shirts! I hate ironing a shirt, putting it on a hanger and going to wear it only to see that I have shoulder "hills".

I have tried letting the shirt dry on the hanger, putting it on the hanger after the dryer, and ironing and then putting it on the hanger and I always get the same result.

With many of my shirts I have resorted to folding them, but I don't have enough space to fold all of my shirts so they won't have little shoulder "bumps" or "hills", whatever you call those annoying things!

    Any advice or help!?

I have some shirts in delicate fabrics that do that so I use padded hangers for them. Downside is they're expensive, but mine were gifts so I got lucky there.

get bigger or smaller hangers they make different sizes for this reason—the end of the hanger should go to the shoulder/arm seam pretty much exactly so that when you take it off, it's shaped properly

Are those the padded hangers that are silky??

That is one of the things I was afraid of that fixing the problem will require expensive hangers.

    Yeah mine are silky.

You can make your own too, out of wire hangers, if you have yarn or old shirts or something.

Get padded hangers. Look at TJMaxx/Marshalls, Tuesday Mornings, Ross, Big Lots, or other discount stores. No need to pay a ton for them.
