    Is it okay?

Is it okay to have different color schemes/decorating styles in the dining room and living room?

I can't decide if I should take advantage of a great deal on a nice set of stuff for my dining room even though it does not match the stuff in my living room or just wait and keep the same color scheme in both rooms.

Are they two separate rooms or do you have an open floor plan? I have an open floor plan and I have the same color on the walls, but slightly different themed decor. My living room is kind of rustic and the dining room is more light.

They are separate, the dining room is the enclosed kind.

I definitely think it's okay, especially if it's in different rooms

Now I can hurry up and get the decorating DONE. I don't have to wait until I find perfect things that match the living room.

Take the deal. Our living room is dark browns and tan and our dining room and kitchen are all John deere green and yellow. Totally different.
