Question How to clean washing machine?

    Advertisements
So my top loading w.m. Makes my clothes smell funky. And I want my yummy clean Laundry smell back!!!

It's not a mildew smell, just weird.

Any tips or products you have used to clean your w.m?

I was going to suggest white vinegar too.

Run one cup of white distilled vinegar and one cup of lemon juice through on the hottest setting you have. It removes all the buildup inside the machine.

Also, you can make citrus infused vinegar by letting it sit overnight with orange/lemon rinds in it. I would just use two (or three) cups of that instead of the lemon juice.
Never do anything halfway unless you want to be half happy.

Is this a dream? If it is, please don't wake me from this high. I'd become comfortably numb
until you opened up my eyes to what it's like when everything is right...I can't believe you found me ♥

this. my dad ran some sort of car chemicals through our machines that made me gag because they smelled horribly, & this removed the funky smell in 1 wash.

They sell washing machine cleaner to specifically get rid of odors and such. I've never actually tried it so I'm not sure how it works but it looks like it's worth a try.

If you do the bleach one, I'd run a second empty load (just water) to make sure no bleach is hanging out in the crevices and stuff.

I'm a big fan of white vinegar. That's how I clean my coffee machine.
