    Housewarming Party Timeline

    Advertisements
What is the general timeline for when to have a housewarming party?

My parents want to throw us one and keep telling me to pick a date. I dont want to have it too soon while my house is a mess but I also dont want to wait too long.

    Help?

I say that it takes people time to get settled so i'd say to long would be 6 months... but I would say anything before that!

2-3 months sounds about right. Anything longer and it's kind of like...

We're doing ours like, 2 weeks after, 'cause we're having one before DH deploys

I'd say within 2-3 months of when you move in.

Not the week of July 22-30 or the weekend of Halloween because I have every intention of stalking this party
