    Help Cleaning Fur Blanket?

    Does anyone know how to clean a fur blanket that doesn't involve dry cleaning? DH sent one home from Afghanistan that he's been using....and BOY! Did it SMELL!!

    Any thoughts?

    Honestly if its not worth it to dry clean, then just throw it in the washer. If it gets ruined, then it wasn't important enough to care. Thats my theory on stuff like that.

    Does it have any kind of tag on it?

    Actually you need to take it to a furrier to be cleaned, if it is real fur.

    If it is a "mink blanket", as they sell in Korea, it's not fur at all. Take it to the laundromat and use the huge size washer.

    I'm concerned, DH loves it...I'm just poor!

    I'm not sure what kind of fur it is, he got it from one of the open air markets that came to his base.
