Dining room table? J and I are in the hunt for a real dining room set. Well, I'm in the hunt, he's perfectly fine eating at the coffee table for the rest of our lives.

I know what I like, but what I like costs more than I want to spend... I'm cheap...

we got a pretty decent sized set for 199 at a warehouse furniture place back home. we saw similar sets at target for just a little more than that. its big enough for four people, so with just the two of us its more than enough.

We bought ours at Target. It's actually a folding card table that is wood. No one ever knows that it is a folding table It's awesome and only like $100 I think?

For tables and chairs? I only ask because I work at World Market and our stuff is pretty pricey but it's good quality, solid wood. Tables are usually in the $300-$500 and chairs are $79 to $129 each, but if you wait for a good sale you can get a set for around $500-$700. If you join the rewards program you can get an extra 10% off. If you oopen a credit card you get 10% off and its usually no interest for a while. DO NOT get a credit card if there isn't a no interest deal going on though, it's like 29%. I have bought all my furniture there, but I wait for things to go on clearance. Not such a good plan if you want something now though. I have expensive taste and not a big budget, so I usually look at the more expensive stores and stalk what I want until it goes on sale or clearance.

We got ours from the family! FREE. It was the only piece of furniture that's actually really nice and has been around awhile. I love it.
