    Nautical/beachy themed room?

    Advertisements
I'm from Annapolis and was raised around the water, boats, beaches, etc.

I was in Cracker Barrel and saw a book, The Song of the Sea. I bought it and now want to plan a small (but full) bathroom around the book. Kind of make it a themed room...what would you suggest?

Do you have any pictures of anything similar?

Its kinda hard to help you decorate the bathroom since I dont know whats already in there, the layout, color of wood etc. but here is a website that could give you ideas and where you could buy (or get an idea of what you want to buy) accessories for your bathroom. Love the book btw, I'm sure your bathroom is going to be adorable when you're done!

A themed room seems like something you might get sick of after a while?

Well I suppose nothing is permanent, so if you decide to change it you always can. I think it just reminds me of a vacation home in Cape Cod, versus an everyday living sort of thing.

Wide horizontal stripes. If you have the patience, paint the walls that way, or get a shower curtain

And , I Annapolis. Pretty jealous you got to grow up there.

Wainscoting, white, blues, and simple clean decorative items.

When you make the decor the theme, it makes it easy to change if you ever want to.

My half bath is done in a nautical theme. I got white shelfs to put on the walls and put decorative accents I purchased at Yankee candle! Then I put wall decor purchases from bed bath and beyond. I also got a picture frame from Myrtle beach and out a picture of us at the beach!!

    Peace is my wifey!!!!

My old apartment...the entire thing was beach themed. It used softs blues and greens and white furniture. And we had vases with decorative sand and seashells stacked inside.
