Smelly Room
How do I get the smell out of a room? It's not really a "bad" smell... but I hate it. It smells herbally and like someone has been burning nasty smelling incense in it for a month or two.
Things I've tried already: - windows open 24/7 since Sundy - vinegar in a bowl in the room - yankee candle tart melted and left burning - febreeze - completely cleaning the room and making sure there is no surprises hiding anywhere - vacuuming and dusting like 5 times - every surface in the room

less than 30 bucks at walmart or the px/bx for a 24 hour rental, they work well, I have used them before. Have you tried a carpet deoderizer that you sprinkle in the carpet then vacuum up? I always do open windows, fan and febreeze for a few day, but you already tried that...

You might try the shopette on base... a couple of bases we've lived at had them. Also, check with the housing self help store, our last base had one that you could borrow.
Try several boxes of baking soda, placed around the room and in the closet. Keep the door closed for a couple of days. Have you tried using baking soda directly on the carpet? Sprinkle it on and leave it there for several minutes (the longer the better) then vacuum it up. See if that helps.
