How do you do it?
I hate freezing meat because usually some will go bad, so it just becomes a waste of money. But it would help save trips to the store, so please help. |

I've heard that meat is usually good in the freezer for a few months. Using ziploc freezer shield bags may help also. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

What we do is when we buy to last more than one time put the meat into individual use size ziploc bags so you don't have to wait for it to melt to cut it just take what you need an use it. It should go bad once you don't buy too much.

oh and if you freeze it right you can keep your meat in there up to a year or so.......never freeze meat after you defrost it.....the meat gets bad always use defrosted meat.....

I learned on a episode of Good Eats you should chill the meat in the fridge, wrap it up, freeze it for how ever long, usually up to a year. Thaw it in the fridge. Freezing already chilled meat and allowing it to thaw slowly will preserve the texture and quality.
