BJ's versus Sam's Club - Homemakers Homemaking

I'm REALLY considering cancelling my Sam's Club membership and joining with BJ's. At Sam's Club, they don't take manufacturer coupons, but at BJ's they do. I've never stepped foot inside a BJ's, so I don't know much about it.

Is anyone familiar with BJ's? If so how do you like it?! Worth the membership?!

Another reason why I'm not liking Sam's Club as much as I used to is the gas quality. I think it's horrible. I recently filled up on base and I went about 50 more miles, doing the same type of driving, before the light came on. Needless to say, I refuse to buy gas at Sam's Club any longer...

I bought my current glasses at BJ's. To me they seem just like costco. Not sure about there gas.

I miss BJ's. There isn't one where I live right now, so I go to Sam's - but BJ's is just nicer in general, I think. If I had the option I'd definitely choose BJ's.

I used to have a BJ's membership. I like that place a lot better than any of the other wholesale clubs around here. The best thing is that they do take coupons, and you get them in the mail too.

I have both. I go to Sam's more because its closer, but definitely prefer BJ's.

I didn't know that one took coupons and the other didn't. I've been to BJ's , Sams & Cosco and I don't notice much difference personally. The only reason I use Sam's club here is bc my job has a membership and I have the card for it

I love BJs. Theyre only on the east coast tho so when we lived in Washington, I had joined costco. I mainly go there to get tampons

(the huge box is like 11 bucks) and tubs o' pillsbury cookie dough. Costco did not have pillsbury and while they did have my tampons, they did not accept anything but amex/checks/cash. I cancelled my membership and got my $50 back.

Joining BJs was the first thing I did when I got settled in Norfolk

and I love it. They have the best fruit. They send you a coupon book in the mail every month, they take manafactures coupons and printed out coupons from online

Thanks everyone!!! I have a free pass to visit BJ's, so I will definitely visit them soon! It sounds like I will be cancelling my Sam's Club membership...

I see that you got a pass to check it out. I just wanted to add that I love BJ's but here are my issues with this store...
1. Don't forget to type wholesale when you look for something online or your eyes will be assaulted.
2. Every time you talk about going to BJ's every guy around you will giggle like a 14 year old boy.
3. When you ask your SO if he needs anything at BJ's the answer "hehe speaking of BJ's" never seems to get old.

I wish they would change the name...I kinda chuckled when I typed I love BJ's.
