Are you cooking for Thanksgiving?
I love to cook for Big Holidays... Last year 26 people, all sit down, china, candles, etc... But, right at dinner time, my SIL and her family caused a major scene and they were yelling and it was nuts... I was so offended and hurt.
So, this year... I'm just doing a quiet dinner for Dh, fil and our kids who can come. Should be about 10 of us at the most... I'll fry a Turkey Breast and Bake one... dressing, mashed and sweet potatoes, dressing, green beans, fresh dinner rolls, Ice tea... Pumpkin and Apple or Cherry pie... my only daughter will have a baby three weeks old, so I will probably do it all myself. What are you all doing? What are your traditions or favorites? Who will come? I grew up with BIG family holidays... but Dh and I are gravitating more towards just us and the kids as time goes on.

I just give up already...

DH will probably end up cooking the turkey and I'll help with whatever else he wants to make. It's just the 2 of us so we don't need to make a ton of stuff.

![]() No, I'm not cooking. I'm going to either my Dads or my uncles. DH isn't going to be home anyway. |

well.... normally my family has a huge shindig. every year there's always 30+ people. but this year because of the economy nobody is coming into town and my parents are flying to be with my sister since she'll be very pregnant in november. so i'm going to a friend's house to spend it with her family. i'm a little bummed i can't be with my own family, but i know i'll be very welcome and we'll have a great time. my friend is an amazing cook and she's making the most delicious meal (she sent me the menu the other night... sweet potato hash, rosemary infused turkey, garlic mashed potatos, etc
) and i'm baking cheddar-bacon cornbread.

I will not be cooking at all. Anyone who wants to eat anything edible gladly keeps me out of the kitchen
. Db and I will have 2 dinners to go to, and each of our respective mom's does all the cooking. This year my oldest sister will be helping my mom a bit, which I am excited for because she is an amazing cook.
