i put a boneless/skinless chicken breast in tupperware container with some marinade this afternoon and stuck it in the fridge. i'm not planning on cooking it till tomorrow, but when i checked it just now, it's kind of white looking. it definitely doesn't look very raw. ....is that normal?

sorry it's my first time marinating it for longer than a few hours.

You can marinate overnight.

As long as it remains refrigerated.

Yeah, it'll be fine. If there's certain ingrediants in the marinade (acidic stuff like lime juice) then it kinda "cooks" the chicken which is probably why it looks like that. It'll be fine tomorrow though.

It will be fine, the acid in the marinade changes the color, but unless it is very strong the texture should be ok.

We haven't had problems and we do that ALL the time, in the fridge obviously!

What the other ladies said. Marinating it overnight makes the flavor that much stronger.
