Fences
So we're moving on post. Le sigh
Anyways, we are going to have to put up a fence. I loathe how rent a fences look. I might as well have barbed wire over the top of the fence and wear an orange jump suit. My question is, has anyone put up a wood fence? How hard was it? How much did it cost you? ![]() ![]() Also, I realize it will be different for how big it is.

hope someone can help! Our lovely housing can only put us in "Hood Manor" the dark side of the base so we have this tiny chainlink fence. woo hoo! I'm just glad we don't use it and there's a HUGE tree shadowing it

Will they let you put up a wooden fence? Sometimes housing will have a list of things that they will allow, and it wouldn't be surprising if they had fencing on there. I don't know, I have never lived on post.. was just wondering if you had checked into it.
Also, I know jack **** about fencing, but I think the chain link sucks, too.

I refuse to have a fence that says RENT-A-FENCE plastered on every panel. I'll look into it and see if we can do a wood one. |

We put up these white plastic fence in our backyard a long time ago.
It's been through a number of hurricanes and stuff looks awesome. I remember it took my dad about a day to put it up. I'd say about...... 50 ft of fence? Maybe? I'm totally pulling that number out of my ass.

They're pretty expensive. Even if you do it yourself (which is HARD work, digging all those post holes). Vicki was gonna do it so we checked prices and they're kind of a LOT.
You might be able to get like some kind of decorative chain link cover or something?ETA: I'm talking about the nice, wood fences they sell at like Home Depot and whatnot. |

![]() We don't really need a huge one because your back yard is big and it abuts wood. I'm more worried Bear will run through our neighbors yard to the main road. |
