After spending $$ on a variety of patches, pins, compasses, and socks I KNEW we already had in DH's collection, I concluded I was going to organize his items!!
We currently have a whole extra room for all of these items but now I'm set on organizing it. I'm looking at storage containers on target's website right now. ![]() What do you do to organize your SO's military duds? Are they organize/arranged/set aside in anyway? Is the garage the "army domain?" Post a pic if possible! Or how are they all organized. I must tell you I was formerly employed by a library so this is a very serious topic to me.

Ekk, we dont have a lot of storage space so we just dry clean DH's "special" uniforms and then put them together with all the patches and pins and various other stuff and put them in a garmet bag with a smaller bag attached on the outside with shoes, socks and other necessities in it. That way its ready to go when he has uniform inspections or we have an event.

Dh keeps his most of his stuff in a rubbermaid in the attic, except his dress blues are kept in a garment bag in his study's closet.
All his navy stuff is in his sea bag in the attic as well, except his dress uniforms, those are also in a garment bag. He doesn't wear a uniform for his job right now, so he doesn't have to mess with any of it. I'm sure come this winter he'll have some new sort of organization for all of it since we finally have room to spread it out a little without it completely taking over our living space. Walmart/Target/Big lots have those plastic, see-through three drawer organizers that would probably be helpful. Easy to label and organize all his stuff and not to expensive. Plus you can stack them. They have little tiny ones that I've used for craft supplies that would be good for patches and what not also.

Dh's uniforms have always been hanging in our bedroom closet. His dress blues, alphas, delta and charlies. In our house in Hawaii, his gear was kept in the garage, althought it did migrate into the house at times. Here, it is in the closet above the stairs.
