Who does the majority of the yardwork at your house? When your SO is deployed do you shirk on the raking and stuff?

When he is home he does about half.

When he is gone, it's all on me. We have yard inspections once a wee (base housing) so I have to keep it up.

I actually LIKE yard work, so I do it.

But I think it's because I grew up in apartments my whole life, so having my own outdoor space is still kind of a novelty to me.

I will readily admit that I didn't do a DAMN thing to our yard while he was gone. We don't have grass, so I didn't even mow it.

Now there's 2 yrs worth of leaves to deal with in the back yard, last year's and this year's.

Yeah, but he's home, so he can deal with it.

Just make the same deal as you did for the kitchen.

The lawn guys do, they even have one come by with a blower to blow all the crap off my lanai
At our last place, I only mowed when F was deployed. That was enough for me - I HATE yard work!
