    Duh Dishwasher Mess... HELP!

    Advertisements
ARGHHHH! It is dd job to load the dishwasher. Normally this isn't a problem, but this morning when she loaded it, she threw in my scrubber (for hand washing dishes, with the soap in the handle!) in with the silverware . I started the dw before I went to get the kids from the bus stop... when I got home, mds screams, "MOM, THERE IS WATER AND SOAP SUDS ALL OVER THE KITCHEN FLOOR!" I went in there and yep... he wasn't exaggerating. I've rinsed all of the dishes emptied the dishwasher and after Googling, found that vinegar will help get rid of the soap residue. My question is... can I use Rice Vinegar instead of regular vinegar? This is such a pain.

Usually in what I have read it needs to be the white distilled vinegar. I would be so upset if it happened to me.

    UPDATE:

Well, I drained the DW, added the rice vinegar and ran the DW three times (adding vinegar each time) and I think it's good... (I used the rice vinegar because I was too lazy to run out in the rain and get white vinegar, but it worked too!)

    Thanks for the input!
