    Question Healthy Shopping

    Advertisements
Lately, I've only been buying healthy foods in an attempt to curb my snacking. I figure I can't eat it if it's not in my apartment. I'm going grocery shopping this week and am looking for ideas. What are some staple healthy foods that you always try to keep stocked up on?

Fruits, carrots, and I like those Special K bars for when my sweet tooth is going a little crazy.

Grapes, cottage cheese, edamame (frozen bags from Trader Joes - heat and serve!), seasonal fruit (right now it's peaches and berries), hummus and pita chips or veggies. I also really like buying the yogurt in a tube (Gogurt) and freezing it for a single-serving snack of delicious frozen yogurt.

I'm a big snacker so I try to keep it to healthy snacks too...

Have you checked out hungrygirl.com? She has some great snack ideas!

I like to have vegis (cucumbers, carrots, peppers, etc) and dip (I usually make ranch with nonfat plain yogurt and a packet of ranch seasoning since it's better for you than sour cream!)..lots of fruit! Hummus and weight watchers pita (which you can make into chips), fiber one bars, hard boiled eggs, laughing cow cheese.

    Hope this helps!
