    Help My skillet is warping!

    Advertisements
It's not a cast iron skillet (which would probably be a great investment). It's one of those $10-$15 you can get at Target and such. I use it mostly to cook bacon or grill up some sandwiches, but it's warping!

    Anyone know why this happens?

Have any good suggestions for the perfect skillet? Links are appreciated!

I don't know! I have a cheap set I got from Target too. I'd love to invest in a nicer set so I hope someone has some recommendations

I love TFAL. that is the brand of pots/pans I use. I just bought my second set about a month ago. The first set I got about 6 years ago. Those are still in good condition, I just needed more pans.
Here are two links I bought my set at the PX here.

if you run cold water over it before it completely cools down, that will happen to even the best cookware. my college roommate used to do that and it ruined almost all of my pots/pans!

I second that! I have had two TFAL skillets for about three years now and they just need a good scrub every once in a while. I run water over my hot pans sometimes too, not exactly cold but I do it. And it is still in good condition!!!

I never use the nonstick except for making eggs and pancakes. I love my Farberware. I've had them for 7 years and still look new.
