How often do you shampoo your carpets?

Well I think Im the exeption here, due to having a special needs child that makes many " messes", I shampoo his room up probley every week and do the other rooms once every 2-3 months.

I try to clean ours about once a month. Oatmeal colored carpet and a toddler do not mix!

I just did ours on Saturday. Normally every couple of months with having 2 dogs and a cream/oatmeal colored carpet.

I do the living room once a month, my carpet is light and I have two toddlers. Rest of the house, six months or so.

I went and got out my machine...it doesn't work as great anymore!!! Where did the dirty water go? It just evaporated into thin air!!!

GRRR. I think I might rent one though. Because this is getting to be a hassle!

beige carpets, two kids and a dog mean I have to do it monthly.......and I am overdue......

actually when my husband's big black boots aren't around I can get away with doing it less. even though we have a "no shoes in the house" rule those boots always seem to be on the carpets

well in reality with my hubby, me a 4 yr old and 2 puppies we prolly should like every day but we dont. we vacuum bout once a week and shampoo every 1-3 mo. we use pet oder shampoo w/hot water. for stains there is a pet stain spray made by the oxiclean ppl works wonders on stains! now i see ur preggo, if thats what your worried about vacuming reguarly should be good enough to only shampoo once a month or less.

I vacuum two to three times a day. Professionally chem/steam clean, twice a year. Personally steam clean, twice a month. Spot steaming weekly.
