How much do you think it would cost?

To get an electrician to come add overhead lights to my 3 bedrooms. I hate just having lamps. I'm big on overhead lighting, and it's bugging the bejeebies out of me that I don't have them.

Anyone ever had that done? Was it really expensive for the wiring labor.

I wish I could get Chico from Divine Design out here!

Is the set up ready on the ceiling? If it is I'm pretty sure it's not expensive at all.

I actually prefer lamps, but only if at least one lamp in the room is connected to a light switch.. or I don't like it...

I'm sorry, I have no idea how much it would cost... good luck!

We have the same problem in Stella's room. We haven't looked into pricing it yet though.

We had an electrician out when we redid the kitchen and he said he would charge us $75 per room, I think, I'll have to double check with DH, but that is what I remember.

Can you turn your lamps on/off from a switch on the wall? or do you have to turn them on at the lamp?

    I'm in Virginia Beach.
    $75/room would be awesome!
Oh, and they are wired that the switch turns on the outlet... but it still bugs me. And in our master, that's where the tv, dvd, etc is. No lamp. So you have to walk across the room in the dark to get to a lamp. Not the end of the world, just annoying.
