First I did a quick drawing. Sorry it's crap but I did it quick..
It's hard to explain the room but it was the best I could do...

    Here are the pics...
    couches and tv

    kids table

    end table

computer table (it's a WRECK sorry!!)

    sofa table

    bookcases

Here is what I want... I would be storing the play kitchen till the next baby and trading the HUGE desk for a smaller one...

think I can pull it off?
I hate having to descrease the desk. It's one of my fave things. BUT it's really huge. Way too huge for the space and for the house. But my gosh there is EVERYTHING I need on this thing.. ROFL

I would have suggested the tv to the wall you think, but move the coffee table and sofa forward so you can still have the sofa table behind the sofa and aleave the desk in the corner with the end table next to it

We had to open our desk up (it used to be L shaped and now it is one big long desk) so that we could put two computers on it instead of one and Adam HATED it at first but once he saw how much better everything fit he got over it. I think once you rearrange and you have so much more space you won't mind the desk being smaller, KWIM? I really like the new plan, I think it will look great.

The only problem with that is that we would lose all the open space under the sofa table and right now I have a big nice wicker basket with lid with all the throws in it.

If you LOVE your desk, I would go with the new plan minus the sofa table against the wall and keep your desk.
this is like a bad movie, and i'd give it a 5 on my netflix

I do love it. But it just doesn't match the room at all. It's really really big. We were planning on reducing it before we decided to redo the room
