Need someone to help me with a good grocery list!

So, I start living on my own tomorrow, completely on my own.

I have an idea for groceries but what would you moms and ladies who have been living on your own suggest for saving money ect.
I am a healthy eater, love salad, fruit, veggies sandwiches, bagels. I don't drink soda, I mix half water and half juice. I am thinking of shopping at Aldis because they have really good deals.

    So, any suggestions? Lunch ideas?

    TIA!

make a menu plan, it will save you from buying excess
Also never shop when you are hungry you will wind up buying sooo much junk.
when things are on sale or cheap stock up ( especially bagels they freeze nicely)

    I will miss you SOS...
Please be wary of what you post remember OPSEC is not just another acronym.

Stock up your pantry with basic staples.

    Check here for some ideas
    http://homecooking.about.com/library...e/blhelp11.htm

    Plan a menu.

If you love bread it might be worth getting bread machine, you'll know what's in it and it's cheaper in the long run.

Shop by season for fruits and vegetables, they are cheaper and taste better.

Invest on some freezer safe containers, for those days you have extra foods.

Don't get fooled by "sales" only buy it if you are going to use it.

Coupons, use them to buy what you need, but don't buy something because you like the deal with the coupon.

start by deciding what you want to eat every week, or every paycheck, however it works for you, and make a list of them and what you will need to make them. then make sure you stock up on bulk stuff like pasta and drink and all the good stuff you need inbetween...gotta love costco! also, check the newspaper for coupons.
