    getting rid of mosquitoes

    Advertisements
Is there anything in particular you've found really useful in getting rid of mosquitoes around the outside of your house? I live near a lake and they are everywhere and they are HUGE. Every single time I open the door one flies in and I have to chase it around the house trying to kill. I know if it is that bad now it is only going to get worse.

Any suggestions to get rid of the not so little buggers?

We used Yard guard it works pretty well, and meant for the yard and grass and stuff like that.

I've never seen anything like that. If you hadn't said it worked I probably wouldn't believe that it did. Its a little bit pricey but if I can't find any kind of spray or anything I might try it out...thanks for the suggestion!

Yard guard is a spray like raid, it just works on the yard. i use it all the time. If it rains a lot then you have to reapply. but it does work.

Ohh...when I googled it it came up as some kind of sound wave machine to repel animals and incests. Totally not the same thing.

If its a spray I'm all for it...thanks!

We use citronella lamps just around the porch to keep them away, but then again, they aren't so much of a problem for us so I'm not sure it would keep them away if you have that many... I swell up like crazy from a bite, hate those things.

You can buy a skeeter magnet from lowes or home depot. They are awesome!

They are cheaper at HD or Lowes, but you have no chemicals floating around, its safe for pets, and it's constant coverage up to one acre
