    Bang Head Hard water!

    Ok in the new house we are renting-I have discovered we have hard water & I have paid $$$$$ to try all sorts of products to get rid of it on the shower doors etc-even Lime-A-Way & all of them do not work-Do you know of any tried & true prodccts that help with hard water stains/marks?? TIA I appreciate any help at this point I am at my wits end

    The only thing that helped at our house was a water softener. But I'm guessing that's not an option for you since you're renting, right?

    Lime-a-Way did not work for us at all. My sister swears by "the works" - I think you can buy it at the dollar store.

    Also, the scouring sticks work great for getting the hard water ring off toilet bowls. Not fun to do, but it works.

    Good luck! It drove me nuts in GA because I hated how the water tasted with the water softener, but I hated the build up everywhere without it.

    Hey, did you ever solve your washer problem? I wonder if it's connected to the hard water issue?

    We have a house water softener and it is wonderful. We haven't moved it into our new house yet - so it's another week of hard water for us. I HIGHLY Recommend a water softener....

    Brillo pad

    Try scrubbing with a Brillo pad. That is what worked in my old rental.

    ace hardware sells this toilet cleaning stuff for hard water its expensive but it works good!
