I usually ask my DH and his answer is usually whatever I want to cook or he'll tell me seafood.

I wish dh would ask for something! but when I asked he always says whatever I want to make so I just never ask. Now I just play around planing the meal and try to come up with different things.
What we do so I can kinda have a feeling for what he likes better is, he gives me a "score" when he is eating. Most of the time he gives me 10s but if for some reason I get a 7 or so then I know that wasn't his favorite. Silly I know but it works.

I ask for requests from DH and the kids. Sometimes they each have several and sometimes they can't come up with any. I take their requests and then plug them in on the days when what they want works. I prefer having their input because there are weeks I can't come up with enough ideas to fill the menu.
