    Red Wall

    Advertisements
Has anyone painted a room red before? I'm painting a dark red accent wall in my new bedroom and it's incredibly hard to get an even coat up. Before I'm done I feel like I'm going to have gone through a gallon and a half for just one wall!!! Any tips?

You are so right. I had to leave the room for a couple of hours because I was getting annoyed and it's starting to look much better tonight now that it's drying! Good stuff.

Nope. The wall was white. Is there a primer that I could have used?

That's awesome that is looking better, red can be tricky.
About primer, I've heard that you get better coverage using a gray or red tinted primer.

Well thanks for all the help ladies. I appreciate it. Once I'm done with my room I'll be sure to post pictures of it so you can tell me what you think.

My friend did her kitchen red. I loved it, but she said it was a huge pain. She said red was the most expensive color and that it took her about 6 coats to get it right, lol
