Does anyone know of a good cookbook for beginners? Ones that have all of the basic recipes...

I'm trying to learn.. all i can cook is spagetti and desserts lol.. poor dh!

i couldn't get by without this cookbook:

Better Homes and Gardens CookBook

it's got just about everything in it!

also, i love the Taste of Home magazines. they have Taste of Home, Simple and Delicious, Cooking for Two, and more. i subscribe to all of them. they have really great recipes. i subscribe to the everyday food magazines, too, but Taste of Home magazines are better.

my weakness is the little books you see at the checkstand at the grocery store. i buy those like crazy. and i actually do use them quite often. they usually have really great recipes.

I have all kinds of cook books LOL. I get the Pillsbury ones at the check out stand at the Commissary. Dh has bought me all of Rachael Ray cookbooks and I just bought her magazine to...

hahaha you should see my cookbook shelves. they are jam packed!! mostly with the little betty crocker type books.

i love rachael ray! are the books good? i was thinking of buying them, and the giada delaurentis one

i have two that are really good. one is called Busy Womans Cookbook, 3 & 4 Ingredient Recipes. and the other is called The Complete Idiots Guide to Cooking Basics (2nd edition)
i got them both at yard sales and i like them

i just feel so bad for dh not having home cooked meals lol (his mom went to culinary school) so he was well spoiled in that department growing up and here i am making hamburger helper and spagetti
