    Question Lawn Care?

    Advertisements
So DF and I have been remodeling our new house inside and out! DF emailed me last night saying he wants to kill the grass and start new. I'm agreeing with this idea since our grass is full of weeds, tree saplings, and at least 4 different varieties of grass. We want a nice looking yard so we decided to just start new next spring and plant grass so that it's not so much going on.

Anyone ever killed the grass before or know of a good way to go about this?
Can't burn it, we live in the city.

You can buy a chemical to spray on that will kill it. Our neighbor does it at least once every 3 years, lol. We’ve found if we over seed, cut it higher, and water at night the grass takes over the weeds. I wanted to kill a portion of the front because we had so many weeds, but dh wanted to try the over seeding first. It worked like a charm.

My parents used a tillar to break up the grass and dirt, then laid the new grass down. Lots of watering.
