    Getting PreApproved

    Advertisements
Currently we are not in the service, but my husband is reporting to training Oct 18. Since our income is about to change, how do we get preapproved? We want to start the process as soon as possible, so that my daughter and I aren't living with my aunt for 3 months.

I would think as soon as you have a LES that shows his monthly income you should be good to go.

are you sure you want to buy a house straight out of boot camp? Your DH can be transfered mulitpule times, its not always promisied that you will get the same station forever and ever amen.

Well, technically he isn't going to regular boot camp. He's going to Commissioned Officer Training, since he's a nurse, and from what we have been told, we will be at Keesler for at least 3 years, but I see where you are coming from. We are from MS so eventually, after retirement maybe, we'll be back.

you will need an LES- and since you will have to go FHA or conventional you will need at least 4% down

there is a good chance you will not get approved until he is finushed with training. the bank will want to be sure he will finish before giving a loan.

I thought that is a veteran's loan. If he isnt' through boot, then he for sure hasn't been deployed.

Thanks for the info. Dh is in the guard and not AD, so I wasn't 100% sure.
