Black vs. Ebony - Home Sweet Home

Let's hope Elphie doesn't see this thread, because I'm sure she'll call me racist against bathroom vanities or something. But anyways, is there a difference between "ebony" and "black" furniture? I can't find a medicine cabinet in ebony to match the ebony vanity I think I'm going to get, so I am wondering if I can get black?

I *personally* think there's a difference between Ebony and black furniture, but not that much. If the two items are side by side, I think you would notice. If they have some distance between them, then no.
