How long did it take after you sent the amendment in?

My husband called the IRS thismorning to make sure they recieved the amendment and they said "We can't tell you've if we've gotten it yet. We don't know. The processing time is 12 to 16 weeks anyway."

I thought it was 6 to 8 weeks? Ugh, I wish they could have at least told us if they had recieved it. It'd be nice for them to do their damn job.

it is taking 6-12 weeks to process-

and just for future refference- you can send stuff to the IRS certified mail or delivery confirmation- it is worth the extra 80 cents!

My husband actually did (I asked him why he didn't), but I guess he wanted them to tell him they have it too

When my husband called, they told him 8-16 weeks too, so we just forgot about it.

We ended up getting it a little over 4 weeks after sending in the amendment. *thinking* Yes, we sent it in the first week of June, and got it the second week of July.

Well we're hitting 8 weeks this week. Sigh........when we called they told us to wait until it hit 16 weeks before we called back......
