the VA will send out thier own inspector or you will need to have a VA certified inspector- it cannot be just anyone with a license.
the VA cert took 2 weeks to get after we applied. and both inspections will be on you financially - but generally the VA sent one is included the in closing ( can't really remember now)

We paid for a private inspector to come through the house, we found him, and hired him. We did the same for a pest inspector.
The VA sent their own VA licensed appraiser for the appraisal. They don't send an inspector, just an appraiser, the appraiser will let the VA know if anything is flagged and needs to be fixed for safety reasons. |
