ok the house is empty but i am bringing some things with me. i want to stay in my house but should i stay in a hotel with more comforts??? we would either be sleeping on a blow-up bed or try to buy furniture and have it delivered while i am there. That may be too much. lol i just want to stay in my house...MY HOUSE....

aww yay!! & if you dont mind a blow up mattress than do that, but if you want tv & other things like that, things to entertain your daughter, than maybe a hotel, but it's up to you. (& if you stay in the house, you dont have to pay money for a hotel, which is always nice!)

Personally, I wouldn't waste the money on a hotel! Blow-up mattresses work perfectly well for me. That's what we use after the movers pick out our HHGs during a PCS....

If you have the money, definitely invest in furniture! Where is the rest of your furniture, because I'm a bit confused.

ok heres the full story. we live in baltimore and that is where our things are. we are moving to augusta but before the formal move i am going to close on my house in a few weeks. the offical move is scheduled for the summer. i just wanted to stay in my house but my daughter may be bored... so that is something to think about.

If it's only overnight, I would suggest just staying home! If your daughter is bored, then you can maybe take her out that night, go to a movie or a bowling alley, and then you can come home and crash.

It will be an adventure for her.

Congratulations on your new home by the way! That's wonderful.

I'd stay in your house too! When I was that age I loved staying in our new house without tv, or any furniture, it always felt like camping.
