How long after you started looking at real estate (seriously, not just on Realtor.com browsing

) did you find your house?

How long did your closing take?

We have a realtor, are pre-approved, and are going to see our first set of houses tomorrow. Wish us luck!

See I'm worried we are going to see a few and really like one, make an offer, buy the house and then have another amazing house come on the market a week later. But I'm also worried that if we don't go ahead and make an offer, we're going to miss out on a really great house.

Realtor.com is one of my favorite websites. I look at homes near every Army base in the United States.. "just in case."

I looked forever and then would send the MLS number to our realtor who would look them up and get back to us to let us know exactly the condition of the house etc.....there was alot not listed on realtor.com that we wanted to know and about 3/4 of the homes we were choosing were short sales or forclosures, but that wasnt disclosed on the site.

Anyway we're building......

Month so far... still no response on the offer we made Friday... other offer feel through

We found our house on our 2nd day of looking...I think it was the 5th house or so. But we had already lived in the area a while so I knew the exact neighborhood I wanted and the house had just come on the market that day.

It took about 3 weeks until we closed.

The first house we went to see was the one we bought, that same day we saw 2 other houses and like next day we put an offer, they accepted it by next day.
Our closing was like a month after that but it was cause both parties agreed on that since it was Christmas time we wanted to wait till after.
