I'm looking at NFCU right now, we just want to get preapproved, and they are asking for the purchase price. God, this crap is so confusing!!! I wish I would have taken a home buying class before I moved away from a base. lol

We got it through a local company who sold it to Wells Fargo.

Yes, they just want an approximate figure.

Have you looked at any of the homes in your area? Calculated the costs in a mortgage calculator to get an idea how much you want to pay every month?

Do a little research, and then just go and put in a figure that you want to be approved for, and then go from there. That's what we did.

we used prosperity....through long & foster (our real estate agent). we used a conventional loan and they matched the lowest interest rate we could find. our agent was very helpful and we felt 100% comfortable with her.

We have it thru Wells Fargo, but want to try to re-finance. We might try USAA or PenFed.

We have Midland Mortgage and they are great. We have a very low rate!

Our rental property is thru GMAC Mortgage and our home is thru Countrywide.

Navy Fed. I feel like a first time buyer again since they changed how they did things since the last time we bought!
