Hi, I'm Amy :)

I can tell you right now, some lenders are at a turn time of 10 days from start to finish. MOST lenders are at 15 - 30 days from start to finish. Make sure you are dealing with someone that knows what they are talking about and is very thorough from the beginning. It will make you life much easier in the end if they do it all right from the get go.

We submitted our firs offer on Sept 11, we finally settled on the price and terms on Sept 14 and set our closing for Oct 9. The appraisal guy took his sweet old time so we then closed Oct 15 as soon we got it.

hmmm about a month...some people put odd contingencies in theirs that take a little more time.
I'm certainly hoping that I'll accept the offer on my house tomorrow though and that closing will take less than thirty days. The time goes slow when you're closing on a house! |

oh to answer your question, Dawna... it was a short sale, but the primary offer tht was accepted fell through because they couldn't get financed... so the short sale terms was already approved. We put our offer in on March 19, and closed April 2nd.
(or some dates close to that)
