Front Loading washing machines. - Home Sweet Home

Our machine is getting a mildew smell, i've read online that you can use vinegar, but, what slot do I put it in? We dont use a fabric softner, so I don't even know which slot that one is.. but, I'd love to try it...

you can put it in the soap or bleach dispenser...I have never had an issue with moldy smells in mine, but I also leave the door open just a hair and wipe down the seal with a towel on laundry day. There are also tablets called Affresh that works great. I use them once a month. Also use your cleaning cycle on your machine.

I had the same problem and so last week I decided to take a bleach rag and wipe all in the seal around the front door. The funk and mold chunks that came out of it was awful

I had to keep wiping it out for about 10 minutes to get it all

I will be wiping ours down weekly from now on since it was so nasty!

I wipe the door and seal after I am finish doing the laundry and leave the door open for about ten minutes. I also do a cycle of bleach once a month to clean the inside of it.

We had one here in the house when we moved in & I HATE it-I bought a regular top loader because we had that same stink & after almost $100 in different ways to get rid of that smell-It never helped & the machine also "spit" dark marks onto our clothes-I will never buy a front loader & I hope you can figure out how to resolve it

BTW there is a cleaner that I bought at Best Buy that is called Affresh & that didn't do anything either

I put the vinegar in the bleach slot and I never shut the door completely when not in use.
