Anyone rent out their home?
Anyone else out here a "landlord"?

we were planning on getting out so we bought a house when dh was on recruiting duty. But then he made E-6 so we stayed in, but did not want to sell the house even though we would be two states away. so I am (we) are landlords.

I am a landlord. Well, let me re-phrase that. I WAS a landlord.
My tenants burned my house down last month.  Yeap it's great being a land lord

We rented our house after we moved. Rented it for 10 years, and made a huge profit at the sale...
I guess we were landlords, but we had a Management company do it all for us. All we had to do was sign a contract and let them keep 10% of the rent money. The house paid for itself, and we had NO headaches... Best move we ever made!
