I have a question.

Ok we do all of our closing paperwork tomorrow. But come to find out the owners of the house wont even be completely out tomorrow.

Are they legally supposed to be out of the house completely tomorrow?

Because they wont be. They are not moving their stuff till tomorrow.

If they are supposed to be out by tomorrow should we charge them for being there or ask money off of our closing costs?

My MIL said I should do that.

Kinda frustrated that they wont be out of the house tomorrow like the relator said they would be.

Yes they should be out and the house should be basically clean (vaccumed floors etc..), you should get the keys at closing. From the moment you sign those papers the house is your, your paying the mortgage and your homeowners insurance is in effect (So if anything gets messed up in their move out it would go on your home owners insurance) Since it's just a day...it's up to you...I wouldn't be happy though.

Im not sure how long its going to take for them to be out. I know they have movers coming at noon to move the big bulk stuff and they have a Uhaul and moving the rest themselves.

We are supposed to be moving in stuff that day.

just annoying that we still have to work around them.

Yeah it doesn't sound right that they are still there. We are doing our final walk through 2 hours before we close, to make sure all is well and clean and to our standards.

We did the walk thru yesterday. They do it 48 hours before closing out here. Weird I know.

They house is very clean, shes always kept it clean. Just frustrated that they will still be moving stuff out while we are moving in.

I just found out that its probably because they are not signing the closing papers until after we sign ours( they are buying a house elsewhere).

just so stupid

They should of signed on their house they bought sooner and out by the 1st.

The last house we bought, the sellers needed a few days after closing to get their stuff out, so it was written into the contract that they would be renting back for XX number of days after closing. They paid us rent for those days.
