Fairy Tales
Only in Fairy Tales
does Prince Charming arrive on horseback
to be with the fair maiden
or perhaps he throws pebbles at her window
in the night
he sings her lovely songs
and whispers sweet nothings in her ear
only in Fairy Tales

Only in Fairy Tales
does everything happen just the way it should
Prince with Princess
and all is well
only in Fairy Tales
in reality, this just isn’t so
In fairy tales
“Happiness is just a tear drop away”
So many tears have been shed
yet where am I now?
Same as before
--all alone—
but with love in my heart
for even though Prince Charming’s adventures
only exist in fairy tales,
Sometimes, with hope and faith
Happily Every Afters really do come true
