    Crochet!!!!

Although yarn gets addicting. My guest bedroom is proof.

I know the craft store michaels has a whole bunch of classes like cake decorating and cool crafts. Something to look into

First deployment, I was kid-free and taught myself how to knit. Next deployment I had one older aged baby and took cake classes and eventually got so involved that when we PCS'd, I started my own cake decorating business. Next one after that I was very pregnant and just spent money on baby stuff With both boys, I knit for them and started sewing more. Now that he is at a shore command and not going anywhere, I miss my free time a bit but on his rare duty nights, I color.

I just picked a new thing each time. I'm a serial crafter and always have an ongoing something that I'm 'almost done'

    Make some jewelry!

Or get in Pinterest or Craft Gawker and search "arts and crafts."

I second the crocheting! You can make so many things! And all you need to start is a crochet hook and yarn. Can't get cheaper than that, except maybe drawing.

I crochet and knit. I also ride horses, so that's my full time hobby.
