Smile Who taught you to knit or crochet?

Someone asked me this on my FB page and it brought back a wonderful memory.

My Grandma and my aunt taught me how when I was about 6 or so. I remember us all sitting in my Grandma's kitchen and them teaching me. My Grandma passed away when I was 19, she was 86. I get to see my aunt next week she's going to be 80 soon, and I think I will share this with her when I see her!

My good friend, and then a lady in the homeless shelter I interned at.

I am thankful for these women because now I can make so many crafts.

My Grannie. She taught me when I was 10 or so and gave me my first crocheting needle. She also taught me to sew . To this day I am the one to sew anything at my parent's house (my mother and sister suck at it).

I had an aunt try to teach me to knit when I was little but I never got the hang of it. My mother tried to teach me to crochet, too, but I couldn't learn from her. Finally my grandmother taught me to crochet. Turned out she held the hook in a completely different manner than my mother. Eventually I taught myself to knit but I don't enjoy it still.

YouTube so I guess myself? Kinda? I taught myself how to use my sewing machine though.
