I have done one, very very basic quilt and that was Wyatt's Harry Potter blanket for his nursery that he will never, ever, ever be allowed to use as a real blanket because of how much stress and work went into it while I was pregnant with him I want to take a basic quilting class someday but there aren't any options out here so I'm sticking to knitting and regular sewing for now.

It became a wall hanging for his room in Hawaii and here it's wrapped in bubble wrap and in MY closet because I'm paranoid about him picking at it

I snapped a quick pic of my work in progress

This is one of a set of placemats I made a year or two ago, please ignore the wrinkles, I pulled it out of the drawer. It has a napkin tucked in the pocket that you put the silverware in.

You should keep it wrapped in a cotton sheet (muslin, bed sheets, etc). And take it out on occasion and refold it in different ways so the fabric doesn't get creased and worn.

My mom is a quilter and has been since before I was born. She has a long arm quilting machine now and has been quilting quilts for people for a few years, in addition to making them for people and for herself. I've personally made two or three quilts with her help. And have helped a lot with hers, designs and such.

    What pattern are you using?

If you have any questions feel free to PM me, I'll most likely know the answers if you're just a beginner, lol.

I'm just doing a simple panel pattern and praying it comes out like I want in my head
The bottom left fabric is the back minky I'm using. I still need a soils color for this though. I can't decide.

My hubby bought me a sewing machine one year for christmas because I really wanted to learn how to quilt/sew. So far it has been taken out of the box to make sure everything was there and moved from house to house and storage to storage. I hope to one day when my kids aren't so crazy to sit down and learn.
