Which one should I put in my portfolio, part 2.

    Okay!

So I stink at drawing. These are my two best and I'm not sure which is stronger. Number 2 has some fixative finger prints, isn't as technically great but is probably more dynamic. For those of you that don't know, I am applying for my second year program at college for Graphic Design and one portfolio piece must be a drawing.

    So, which one is better?

As an artist I would pick #2.

the right side of the second one is the most impressive technically (to my eye anyway ) so i would definitely go for that one, fingerprints be damned.

Agreed. I was all set on it then the fingerprints came in and I was like Charcoal is so messy! I don't understand how people get totally beautiful charcoal drawings.

There is a rubber charcoal eraser that you can mold that will clean up the drawing.

Even though it is fixatived? I mean, it's workable but I've never had any luck pulling it up with a kneaded eraser. What does this eraser you're talking about look like?

Awesome. I have the second one but I'll try the first. Thanks! I am so OCD when it comes to neatness on artwork

This is "stinking"? These are awesome! I really like them both, but voted for #2 - I like both sides of your "Drift"
