    Looooook what I got!!!

I love sewing. I've never owned a machine but I've always liked doing it by hand. I decided to start a sewing project for my friend and realized if I wanted it done before next year I should probably get a machine.
Well, I looked on Craigslist and didn't find much besides antique ones, and I didn't want to pay full price for something I may not end up ever using(its what I do. I took up knitting as well and well, I don't knit anymore)
So I posted about wanting one on a thread on a local FB group and a woman said she would sell me hers for $20! So she just dropped it off. I'm so excited. I am reading the manual to get an idea of what I'm doing and ill start practicing later before I dive into my project.

I tried to get into sewing for a sec, but don't have a machine (and nowhere to put one if I did) or the patience to do it by hand. So I dropped it. But I'll probably pick it back up when we have our own place. My biggest problem then will be motivation. I'm really bad about starting projects and not finishing them.

I bought a machine last year and its still hasn't been used (by me) cause I don't know how to use it. My sister was suppose to show me over the summer...never did. She was suppose to show me over thanksgiving break...nope. Christmas break...yeah nope. Hopefully she will show me during spring break...I wanna make my girls cute dresses for the summer!

I'm the same way. I have some knitting needles and yarn sitting in my closet for that scarf I was going to make I really love sewing though. I need to finish the project for my friend so I can make more stuff!
