Tips for working with real flowers?
Anyone have any? The place where my grandmother is buried doesn't allow artificial flower arrangements and I want to make an arrangement but I've never worked with real flowers. Any hints/tips/etc would be greatly appreciated.

This is a site for artificial flower arrangements. They have a TON of supplies and free how-to videos that could be used with real flowers though.
http://www.afloral.com/How-Tos-Videos I did all the flowers (artificial though) for our wedding if you have a specific questions.

when I made arrangements for my nans grave I made based wreaths they are really easy to make and I think they look really nice.
you need to get an oasis wet foam wreath white double chrysanthemum and flowers of your choice for the spray. plus a little bit of foliage for the spray I cant find any of my pictures I think there all back home in the UKYou soak the oasis foam in water for about 5 minutes or till the water has soaked all through. cut the chrysanthemum's about 1 1/2 to 2 inches from the head, and place them all around the wreath closely packed together leaving a small area for your spray of flowers in top of the wreath Just type in google images, Based wreath you can get some great ideas. I dunno if this is the type of arrangement you was thinking of but hope it helped a little

Her favorites were carnations so I'm totally there on the inexpensive flowers. |
