Possible Beginner Scrapbooker

So I kinda dabbled the slightest bit today when I put together a couple of care packages for the hubby who's at A School. It wasn't even really a dabble but I mean, it inspired me to further it.

Any advice or tips on actually moving forward with this hobby?

Your Phrases are great... I'd pick a spot and put them in place, like you did. I often think of the "theme" of my page before I start. I'd probably move them to one of the four corners... to draw the eye there... Then, I'd put my Pictures on those pages before I added those embellishments... (monkey's , fish or what have you)

I also like dimension, so I might take the fish or monkeys and stick them on white paper, cut around them leaving a wee edge, then stick them on a colored paper that coordiinates and cut around that leaving an edge... and use a pop dot to add it to the page in spots around my pictures.

I'd also pull one of the colors out of the stickers, like the brown in the monkey, yellow bananas, or any of the blues for the fish, and I'd put my photos on card stock in those colors before putting them down.

On those pages, you can lay it out in such a way to have that title, and 3 to 4 pictures and the sticker embellishments!

What size are they? 8 1/2 by 11? You can buy albums with page protectors and just slip your finished pages right in. HTH!
