How would you make this costume?

I want Carter to be a duck for halloween, and Im trying to think of how to make his costume.

Im going to try and find yellow or orange pants, and a yellow long sleeve shirt for him.

Im gonna try to find a yellow baseball hat, take orange felt and make a beak on it. With those puffy white ball things Im going to make eyes, and put a black smaller puffy ball thing in the middle of the white ones.

Im also going to put a bunch of white feathers fluffed up on the top of the hat.

For ducky feet Im going to use his yellow socks and make it out of yellow and orange felt.


When I picture this all in my head, I know it needs something else, Im not sure what though.

Any ideas? How would you do it?


Im also considering gluing fluffy feathers to his whole outfit, but Im not sure if that would be over the top. Im thinking of putting him in a basket with some fake easter eggs too, but Im not sure if thats overly corny or not.

You can get a totally cute duck costume for 14.00 at KMart... you'll put that much into making it.

IDK why I didnt think to google it I think Im going to pick and chose things I like from those pictures to make a SUPER duck. Getting all excited.

Cute! i was totally gonna do this, i wanted C to be donald duck. . but then i changed my mind - cant wait to see what you come up with!

I think I would do it like this:

Yellow plain baseball hat. Add those eyes you find in craft stores, but the bigger ones. paint the bill orange.

Get a yellow sweatshirt, and glue feathers to it. Or glue some yellow boas to it since that's easier. In rings.

Orange tights or leggings, and maybe get some pool shoes and spray paint them orange. Or swimming flippers. Don't forget the tailfeathers though!
